Street Scene '06 Lineup

Thanks to reader Peter D Lai, (who is certainly "D" Man), for finding this Street Scene lineup graphic on the Street Scene website while they were updating. Looks like the lineup has hit a few days early, so no more rumors, here's the real deal. What does everybody think? The Wu is an nice surprise...But it's surprising that with half of Snoop Dogg's lyrics being instructions how to spell his name that one could possibly leave the Double G off the poster.

Presale tickets are available for $100, up $15 from last year, plus the $10 convenience fee. They also say the price will increase on Monday. How much more than $110 can the price possibly increase to? Looks like they will go up $10 dollars on Monday, to $110 probably also with a $10 charge. Buy em here.

The website files also indicate that there will be four stages this year, which I believe is one more than last year.

What do people think?

tool = total sell out; not in a metaphorical sense, but rather, the show will sell out.

What's interesting is that She Wants Revenge is not listed. Are they perhaps one of the "AND MORE!!!" bands?

She Wants Revenge's site is one of the few that actually lists Street-Scene as a tour location...

Their webpage has Street Scene on their tour schedule, but not the myspace page does not. Either this Street Scene graphic is a first draft, (possible based on the Snoop "Dog" misspelling or the band has their info wrong...

Tool,Kanye,Social D,AFI,YeahYeah Yeahs,Snoop, and Wu Tang are worth the price of admission for sure.

As well Wu Tang will definetly be playing on Friday. They are playing the Rock The bells festival on Saturday and Sunday which was my alternative if this festival lineup sucked but thankfully it doesn't.

That poster sure does look faks as hell.

I highly doubt that it's fake since it was the official graphic on the Street-Scene '06 website before they took it down.

What there is to note, however, is that the graphic was named "lineup(5-18).gif".

"5-18" I guess implies that it is up-to-date as of May 18th. Whether between that date and May 22nd there will be changes, I don't know. But we'll see. :)

It is the real lineup. If you click the 2005 site info everything is actually 2006. I bought my ticket.

I thought there was 4 stages last year?

wu tang with no ol' dirty is not the wu tang at all.

They will be doing a tribute to ODB though and to say that none of the othere members are talented is an understatement for sure.

oh- i don't deny that, especially as one who was there for method man's set last year, i'm just saying, there's the wu tang clan, and then there's the solo career's of the various members. that's all.

Decent lineup. I wonder, though, is G Love trying to break a record for most Street Scene appearances. Seems to me that he plays every year.

looks like a descent line up to me, i cant say that im attracted to any of those bands enought to want to go though,,,

bedouin soundclash sure is playing in san diego alot lately, sun god festival, then 949s indie jamm and now street scene,,,, i suggest anyone that goes should check them out, live they sound quite a bit more like the police than thier radio song indicates,,, and they are great guys to hang out with

This doesn't compare to last year's line up. I mean, Pixies? Flaming Lips? Those two bands were worth the money alone last year. But a higher ticket prize and this typical San Diego commerical radio generated line up does not work at all.
